“I was fortunate enough to visit Mallorca in 2024. While there, I was captivated by the mountains, sea life, sunsets, and orange trees – which were in fruit at the time. I wanted to capture the spirit of adventure and exploration in a single painting – enter the seemingly chaotic Pink Landscape With Shrimp. Look closely at the mountains; you’ll see elements of suminagashi (Japanese marbling), which I painted on top of.”
