The story behind your Abstract Jumping Cats print:

“As a cat lover, I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time watching and playing with my own (and other people’s) fur babies. So, I painted this Abstract Jumping Cats print as a means to visualise the motion, fluidity, and instinctive acrobatics of a leaping cat.

“For this cat print, I began with the bold yellow and orange background; added a wash of water and some salt to create the beautiful organic textures seen primarily in the top left quarter. Next, I took a stick of graphite, and began drawing a series of jumping cats in the different phases of a ‘leap’ – or in some cases, what appeared to be a falling cat. Finally, I chose the cats I wanted to paint, and completed each one in different styles.”
