“This painting was inspired by a weekend walk through the woods, fields and reservoirs near my home. While on the walk, we encountered all kinds of nature – sheep, birds, colourful flowers, that kind of thing. But the two moments that stuck with me were a squirrel scurrying around a tree and a clump of delicate mushrooms.”
