“I lived in Leeds for most of 2023 – a place where Red Kite birds were reintroduced as part of a breeding program several years previously. I loved to watch these beautiful creatures circling around the city, and surrounding areas -– Kirkstall abbey, Harewood, you name it, they’re there, hovering above you. Incidentally, this was the first painting I made after moving to Huddersfield.”
